Fish Curry
Ingredients:
- 1¾ lb fish slices/fillet of sea fish
- 3 medium sized tomatoes ground
- 3 medium sized onions minced
- 3 flakes of large garlic
- 2½ inches of fresh ginger ground to a paste
- 2 green chilis slit lengthways and seeded (add more if u need)
- 2 tablespoons of finely chopped coriander stalks and leaves
- 2 heaped tablespoons of ground coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1½ teaspoons of red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground jeera (cumin seed) powder
- 3 to 4 cloves (spice)
- 2 inch piece of cinnamon stick broken into small pieces
- 1 bay leaf (optional)
- 1 TBS of oil (preferably olive oil)
- 1 quart of water for cooking
- juice of one large lime (half for the marinade and half for the gravy)
